Bio

Writer. Reader. Reviewer.

Beverley is a writer and historian who is passionate about writing about women from the past who lived remarkable lives and achieved great things but sadly history has forgotten.

The first book in her series The Hidden Women of History is The Rebel Suffragette  which is based on the life of Edith Rigby, a doctors wife from the Lancashire mill town of Preston who fought for the rights of working women. When the fight for the Right to Vote grew, Edith joined forces with fellow Suffragettes to fight for the cause. Beverley contributed to an article on the suffragettes in The Mill, an online newspaper in Manchester.

Her second book, The Worlds First Computer Programmer: The Life of Ada Lovelace, brings to life one of histories most overlooked heroines. Being the daughter of Lord Byron ensured Ada's life would be colourful and noteworthy.

She will shortly begin work on the third book in the series The Lost Tudor Royal: The Life of Margaret Douglas, Countess of Lennox.

Beverley gained her MA in English in 2019 and has since turned her attention to writing. She is an avid reader and book reviewer having taken part in many blog tours for major publishing houses.
